costuming, dance, poi, and drumming workshops followed by performances and a
Hafla. Hone your performance and costuming skills with talented
instructors. Dance to live music at the Hafla. Exotic costuming items and
apparel available for purchase throughout the day. (cash and checks only)

8:00 – Performance followed by our Hafla
After the
Performances are done, we will start our Hafla. There will be open dancing to
live music. Musicians and drummers welcome. During the evening there will be a
drum jam for any of the drummers & dancers who are interested.
Bill at the
Amber House will have a cash bar and menu that you may order from for those who
are interested.

World
Fusion Belly Dance classes
In beginning
technique dance classes, you will learn basic traditional belly dance steps.
You may also learn a beginner choreography, if you wish, that you may perform
with your fellow students at our Haflas that we have a few times a year. Your
friends and family may also be invited to the Haflas to watch your performance.
In the
intermediate technique classes you will learn to put the basic steps together
in beautiful layered movements. We will also help you choreograph a dance to
music of your choosing.
For dance
class, wear comfortable clothing- pants cut at the hip are preferable but not a
necessity, a shirt that is slightly form fitting but that you are still able to
move in easily is good so you can see your movements.
Belly
Dance classes are $10 for the 1st class, $5 for each additional class in the
same day and/or week. Students pay for 4 beginning technique classes at a time
($40 non-refundable). You have 5 weeks to take the classes, or you may pay $75
(non-refundable) for the month and you may take as many of the classes as you
wish.
The first
time you come to class is a trial class to see if you like it, so you only pay
$10 the first day.
